He’s founder and president of Dayton, Ohio-based Beacon Capital Management, a leading consultant to and award-winning asset manager for financial advisers and institutional investors in developing globally diversified portfolios to optimize long-term performance.
Cook’s unique investment philosophy focuses on investment management solutions that are calculated and risk management strategies that are preemptive and tactical. He’s the go-to expert for a variety of media outlets on investment and financial topics for both consumer and industry audiences.

Cook holds a variety of licenses from FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority), including Series 7 (General Securities Representative Qualification Examination), Series 4 (Registered Options Principal Examination), Series 24 (General Securities Principal Qualifications, applicable to supervisory management of a general securities broker-dealer), Series 53 (Municipal Securities Principal Qualification Examination), and from NASAA (North American Securities Administrators Association), Series 63 (Uniform Securities State Law Examination), Series 65 (Investment Advisers Law Examination). He is a graduate of Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a concentration in Finance.
