The busiest and most highly-anticipated shopping day of the year is just around the corner, and retailers have begun releasing sneak peeks of their Black Friday ads to consumers. Before their turkey dinner has even digested, many Americans will be gearing up for the biggest shopping day of the year and the unofficial start of the holiday shopping season. Prior to heading to the mall or shopping center, it is important to do some homework. By knowing what stores have the best sales, and what the fine print says, you are ensuring a successful day of shopping on Black Friday. Here is a look at three of the best advertisements for Black Friday 2012.

Walmart
A retailer that is synonymous with great sales and massive crowds on Black Friday is Walmart. In previous years, customers have lined up outside the store waiting for it to open so they could get their hands on some of the amazing deals inside. Black Friday 2012 is no different for the big box store. Walmart is featuring an outstanding Black Friday ad with many electronic items going for rock-bottom prices. Some excellent examples include a Compaq Presario laptop computer for $179, an Emerson 40-inch HDTV for $198 and a Nikon S3200 digital camera for $69.

Walmart's doors open at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, and this allows consumers to get a jump start on their Black Friday shopping. Walmart has three Black Friday events, and each event features a different circular and its own blend of low-priced merchandise. If you plan to shop at Walmart, be prepared to show up early. Watch out for crowds because Walmart has one of the most sought after ads of all the retailers.

Target
Another retailer that is very popular with Black Friday shoppers is Target. Target is offering a very attractive ad this year and is sure to lure crowds in hoping to snag some of its great deals. Prime examples of the type of deals that are available at Target for Black Friday include a 50-inch Westinghouse HDTV for $349; a six-foot, pre-lit artificial Christmas tree for just $30; and a PlayStation 3 console with two games for just $199.

There are plenty of other deals to be had at Target's Black Friday sale. With many electronics, home products, toys, clothing and more, Target's Black Friday sale is sure to pull in the masses looking to score some holiday treasures. Target will open its doors at 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.

Best Buy
Best Buy is offering a hearty Black Friday sale that is chock-full of the latest gadgets and electronics. Best Buy is sure to give its competition a run for its money by offering some amazing deals to consumers. Some of the highlights of Best Buy's Black Friday circular include the white Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 for $179.99, the Canon PowerShot A2300 digital camera for just $79.99 and a Toshiba 40-inch HDTV for $179.99. Best Buy will be opening its doors at midnight, but it will be handing out tickets to its hottest items starting at 10 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.

The Bottom Line
There are plenty of amazing sales on Black Friday to be had. In order to get the best deals, plan ahead and determine what stores you want to visit first. By doing your homework and reviewing the ads you can better map out your shopping strategy. Keep in mind that many stores have multiple sales events for Black Friday with time restrictions and product variations.
