Asian markets up on US earnings season
FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Asian equity markets in general pushed for gains on Wednesday after the start of earnings season in the US. Mainland China's Shanghai Composite (-0.19%), South Korea's Kospi (-0.31%) went one way - down. Hong Kong's Hang Seng (+0.27%), Australia's S&P/ASX 200 (+0.38%) and Japan's Nikkei Stock Average (+0.67%) went the other way - up.
Futures for the German DAX (+0.26%) and the French CAC 40 (+0.38%) are signaling a higher opening ahead of the European session with EMU GDP and German industrial production on the way. WTI crude oil drops to $92.90 (-0.28%) and Gold rises to $1662 (+0.89%).
