FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - With pretty much all Asian markets closed getting ready for Christmas Eve, EURUSD is last quoting at 1.3179, few pips below Friday's close, and off recent session lows at 1.3163 printed in the interbank pre-open. No news out so far, and a blank economic calendar for the session being.

US 'fiscal cliff' will also have to wait until lawmakers at Washington return from holidays in the 27th. US SP500 futures just opened 2 points to the downside after the crash in late NY Thursday when the negotiations on 'fiscal cliff' came to a halt, printing as low as 1391 for the March contract, for a few seconds though, running all stops underneath. It presently trades slightly below the 1430 points mark.

Immediate resistance to the upside for EURUSD shows at Thursday's lows and past weekly close 1.3188, followed by Thursday's NY lows at 1.3213, and Friday's London highs at 1.3232. To the downside, closest support lies at recent session/Friday's lows 1.3163/57, followed by Dec 17 lows at 1.3144, and Dec 05 highs at 1.3128.
