Forex Flash: Berlusconi warned not to target Germany - Nomura

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - The Nomura Economics team have issued a brief note highlighting reports that the German government has warned Berlusconi not to target Berlin in the run up to elections early next year.

The move reportedly comes after the former leader has amped up anti German rhetoric, attacking "German-Centric" economic policies put forward by his successor Mario Monti. German Chancellor Merkel has expressed her full support for Mr Monti and the reforms which he has approved for Italy. She is reported to have said that she hopes Italians would ensure that the country remains on the right track.
