FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - NZDUSD is currently near session highs at 0.8241, extending the bounce from yesterday's 3-week lows at 0.8165, still -0.75% lower for the week, "little changed overnight, trading either side of the US 82cent level," said Currency Strategist at Bank of New Zealand Mike Jones on an early note to clients.

"Our flows again show some paring of holdings by macro and trading accounts with appetite from domestic, commercial names providing support," the analyst notes, adding: "For the technically biased trading books there is attention on a potential double top at the 0.8350 level shaped over the past month, and key support is pegged near overnight lows at 0.8170."

Mike warns: "A sustained break of that support opening up the possibility of a deeper retreat to the US 80cent level," Mr. Jones concludes.
