FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Commerzbank analysts consider today's durable goods orders as a relatively important economic indicator, but of secondary importance against the data calendar for the rest of the week. "In general the following applies: medium term the US side of things is likely to hold the potential for surprises in the G3 universe", wrote analyst Ulrich Leuchtmann. "While everyone is currently concentrating on the less expansionary euro zone liquidity policy (EUR positive) and the prospect of a more expansionary BoJ (JPY negative) we should not lose track of any potential surprises on the part of US monetary policy", he added, pointing to potential for considerable surprises considering the Fed's unclear guidance on the QE3 matter. The Fed is expected to update information on the matter on Wednesday.
