FXstreet.com (Córdoba) - The pound reversed early losses against the greenback and rose to a 6-week high at the beginning of the American session, underpinned by broad USD weakness as investors await the Federal Reserve decision.
GBPUSD extended gains into a third day on Wednesday and reached its highest since early November at 1.6147 before easing slightly. At time of writing, the Cable is quoting at the 1.6140 zone, 0.2% above its opening price.
"Cable continues to rise and looks strong on the daily as well as the weekly charts", says the Kshitij Consultancy Services Team. "Our view remains same as we expect a rise towards 1.6200 level in the coming sessions. On the down side we expect it to take support near 1.6080-50 levels".
