Forex: USD/CAD jumps to the 0.9975 zone after data

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - The Canadian dollar has suddenly depreciated to the boundaries of 0.9975 against the greenback, after Retail Sales in Canada rose just 0.1% on a monthly basis during September, below expectations and previous print at +0.5% and +0.3%, respectively. Striping the automobile sector, sales have posted no variation, against an expected advance of 0.5% and August's +0.5%.
As of writing, the cross is up 0.11% at 0.9974 facing the next hurdle at 0.9992 (high Nov.20/21) en route to 0.9996 (MA10d) and 1.0019 (high Nov.19).
On the downside, a break below 0.9954 (low Nov.19) would clear the way to 0.9948 (low Nov.8) and 0.9934 (MA100d).
As of writing, the cross is up 0.11% at 0.9974 facing the next hurdle at 0.9992 (high Nov.20/21) en route to 0.9996 (MA10d) and 1.0019 (high Nov.19).
On the downside, a break below 0.9954 (low Nov.19) would clear the way to 0.9948 (low Nov.8) and 0.9934 (MA100d).
