GBP/USD climbs on better House Price data

GBP/USD has recovered from its mild overnight dip following better than expected Halifax House Price data with MoM (Nov) coming in at 1.1% against forecasts of 0.6%, and YoY 7.7% against 7.2% estimates. This afternoon NFPs is the obvious calendar highlight, with analysts expecting 180k.

What are today’s key GBP/USD levels?

Hourly RSI sits at 47 and looks generally range bound despite a slight move higher in recent trading. Todayś central pivot point can be found at 1.6347, with support below at 1.6289 (S1), 1.6240 (S2) and 1.6182 (S3) and resistance above at 1.6396 (R1), 1.6454 (R2) and 1.6503 (R3). Special attention should be paid to the range between 1.6379-1.6413 where several key levels are confluent today.
