Japan's Nikkei at longest winning streak ever, North Asia eases

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Being in its longest-ever weekly winning streak, for the 11th week in a row, Japan's Nikkei Stock Average edged higher +2.88% today as Yen weakness allowed the USDJPY to breach over its previous high at 90.25, printing a new one at 90.61. India, Indonesia and Singapore's indexes went higher too, while China's Shanghai Composite (-0.49%), Hong Kong's Hang Seng (-0.26%) and South Korea's Kospi (-0.91%) registered losses on Friday.
Futures for the German DAX 30 and the French CAC 40 are signaling a higher opening by +0.05% ahead of ECB's announcement of details in regard to early repayments of the first 3-year LTROs (¬489.2B) that are due to start in Jan-30. In the economic calendar are German IFO survey and UK GDP for Q4 2012. WTI crude oil trades at $96.13 (+0.15%) and Gold rises to $1672.00 (+0.24%).
