FXstreet.com (Córdoba) - A couple of developments hit the euro during the American afternoon, sending EURUSD back below the 1.3300 level.

According to Bloomberg headlines, Eurogroup President Jean-Claude Juncker said the euro's exchange rate is 'dangerously high'.

Rajoy rules out aid request

Meanwhile, Rajoy ruled out aid request from the European Central Bank and insisted that Spain was right not to do it last year. He also said that expansionary policies were not possible in Spain at the moment but did call for more stimulus from eurozone creditors nations, including Germany.

"I think that in this moment, when there is a need for growth, those who are able to implement growth policies should do it," the Spanish prime minister told the Financial Times in an interview. "What is clear is that you cannot ask Spain to adopt expansionary policies at this time. But those countries that can, should."
