US markets in green following the risk-on tone
FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Markets in the US are trading in the positive territory, buoyed by the prevailing risk appetite after the comments by ECB's President M.Draghi. The greenback, measured by the US Dollar index, is getting hammered, declining from the 80.70 region to the actual lows around 79.80
The DowJones is up 0.30%, seconded by the S&P500 and the Nasdaq, up 0.39% and 0.05% respectively.
Markets in Europe closed mixed following the news coming from the ECB, with the IBEX35 on top once again, advancing 0.15%, followed by the FTSE100 0.05%. Losses were led by the French benchmark, 0.39% ahead of the DAX 0.16%.
In the commodities space, both the barrel of WTI and the ounce troy of gold are posting strong gains, advancing 1.16% at 94.17 and 1.27% at 1676, respectively.
