US stocks mixed, as Boeing weights on the Dow
FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - US markets are trading mixed on Wednesday, as aircraft-maker Boeing Co. (BA) is weighting on sentiment, while Apple Inc. (AAPL) is pushing the tech sector well into the positive territory. All in all, a cautious stance prevails among investors, ahead of furher earnings/revenues results.
At the moment, the DowJones is retreating 0.24% followed by the S&P500, down 0.05%. Conversely, the Nasdaq is advancing 0.15%.
Markets in Euroland closed in the mix territory for the second consecutive session, as the risk-off mode prevailed. The gains were led by the French benchmark, up 0.30% and followed by the DAX 0.20%. The FTSE100 closed in red again, down 0.22%. The single currency is trading in a choppy session, swinging mainly by rumours by EU officials, although consolidating losses below the 1.33 figure as of writing.
In the commodities' space, the barrel of the WTI is up 0.71% around $94.00 while the ounce troy of gold is down 0.21% at $1680
