FXStreet (Bali) - Sean Callow, FX Strategist at Westpac, reviews the day ahead, noting a very crowded US calendar.
"Asia’s calendar is unlikely to have any impact beyond home markets, where there will be interest in e.g. Q2 GDP reports in Malaysia, Hong Kong and Taiwan (final) plus Singapore June retail sales."
"The US data calendar is very crowded, though posing only moderate risks to USD. First up are Aug NY Fed’s Empire State manufacturing index and Jul PPI."
"Then we see Jun capital flows data (TIC), July industrial production and finally the preliminary reading on U Michigan consumer sentiment. Minneapolis Fed president Kocherlakota (dove, voter at 2014 FOMC) is listed to speak."
