Have you heard of an “ICO?”

Using an ICO, a startup company recently raised $36 million… in 24 seconds.

Incredibly, it raised this cash without paying a cent to Wall Street investment bankers… or to Silicon Valley venture capitalists.

ICO stands for “Initial Coin Offering.” An ICO is similar to an IPO, where owners of a company sell shares to investors.

In an ICO, instead of selling shares, the owners sell units of cryptocurrency like Bitcoin. And here’s the exciting part: the general public can participate in an ICO, whereas only well-connected Wall Streeters can typically buy into an IPO.
