AceableAgent is an entirely online real estate school that has an app and can be used on your computer, tablet, or smartphone. The company’s goal is to combine real estate education with cutting-edge technology. It focuses on providing high-quality and engaging instruction to students who want to work or are already working in the real estate industry. 

Pros Explained

• Mobile app: Take classes on the go. Study at your own pace wherever you are and you don’t need to rush home to take a practice test or finish a module. 
• Advanced video technology: Educational videos that are also engaging and keep your attention so you can better retain the information. 
• Pass exam or money back: The school is confident in their courses and offers money-back guarantees if you don’t pass the final class exam. You do need to contact the school directly for details. 

Cons Explained

• No campus locations: Courses are only offered online at your own pace, so if you need to be in an actual classroom to best retain the information, this probably isn’t the school for you. 
• Not offered in all states: Classes are offered in 14 states, so if you don’t plan on working in one of those states, then you need to attend a different school that offers classes in the state you want to practice real estate in. 
• Limited customer service hours: Customer service agents aren’t available on weekends. On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, they’re available from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST and on Tuesdays and Thursdays, they’re available from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

AceableAgent offers pre-licensing real estate agent courses and continuing education classes in the following 14 states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, New York, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.

Additionally, they offer professional development courses including classes on listings and neighborhood specialists. 

Salesperson Pre-Licensing

Salesperson pre-licensing courses are offered completely online including an online proctored exam to be taken at the end of the course. This is convenient if you don’t live near a school or don’t want to travel to a school to take an exam. Pre-licensing courses vary by state, but the school offers a package for each of the states it covers that includes the required courses and an online proctored exam if required. Some states, including California, include a pass or money-back guarantee on the class exam. 

All of the pre-licensing agent classes can be taken at your own pace and from any device. Different states have different pre-licensure courses. For example, Pennsylvania requires 75 course hours with Real Estate Practice and Real Estate Fundamentals included in the course hours. 

Continuing Education

AceableAgent offers continuing education classes online that are all state-approved and created by industry experts. These can also be taken on the go from any device. The courses can be purchased individually or bundled together. You can search the site to find your state’s continuing education requirements and course options. For example, New York continuing education classes start at $29 and topics include fair housing, agency, personal safety, and millennials in real estate. 

Course Format

All of the courses for Aceable students are offered online in a self-paced format. They are designed to be taken from the app, your tablet, or your computer anytime and anywhere. Courses include videos, online study guides, real estate glossaries, math formulas, and topic summaries. Courses also include level assessments and prep tests. 

Instructors

The instructors are referred to as master instructors and are all industry veterans. As a student, you will have access to these instructors via email seven days a week. Once you sign up, you will receive an email address to contact the instructor with any questions. On-staff career mentors are also available to help explain your state’s licensing process. They are also available by email seven days a week. 

Reputation

Aceable Real Estate School has a positive reputation as an online school with overall positive student reviews and high exam passage rates. Although it isn’t accredited, meaning it hasn’t been evaluated by an institution such as ARELLO or IDECC to meet certain standards, the students do get access to instructors for support and the website is easy to use. Students say signing up for courses is easy and being able to take real estate classes around a busy schedule is very convenient. 

Price

AceableAgent offers pre-licensing classes in 14 states with different licensing hour requirements, so the prices vary greatly. For example, it’s only $129 to take your real estate agent pre-licensing courses in Florida, but in Pennsylvania, it is $329. 

Continuing education classes in New York start at $29. In Texas, individual continuing education courses typically range from $20 to $120, and bundles are $60 to $120.  Professional development courses are between three and five hours each and range from $79 to $249 per class.  Discounts are often available.

Kaplan is one of the most well-known online educational providers. It offers live-online and on-demand real estate licensing, exam prep, and continuing education courses. We decided to compare Kaplan and AceableAgent because both schools provide real estate courses in multiple states including Texas. Kaplan offers real estate courses in all 50 states, while Aceable only offers courses in 14 states.

Overall, we recommend choosing Kaplan because you can pick from hundreds of course topics, there are affordable tuition prices, and it’s a well-known and reputable online education provider with a longstanding history of providing different course formats for various learning styles.
