With a background in accounting and finance, Jay Willwerth has been providing his knowledge and expertise in financial planning and wealth management for successful individuals, families and corporate executives for nearly three decades.
Since joining AWM in 2001, Jay has served on the firm's executive team and is an integral member of the investment committee, coordinating investment research, monitoring existing strategies, and conducting ongoing portfolio reviews with the firm's top clients. He has also been instrumental in the firm's rapid growth in its assets under management and its virtual fee-based financial and retirement planning programs.
Jay is a graduate of Bentley University with both a BA in Economics/Finance and a AS in Accounting. He also has earned the Chartered Financial Consultant Designation (ChFC) from the American College, and went on to teach the American College's Estate and Business professional development courses for many years.
He has also been a frequent speaker on business succession strategies, estate planning, estate planning for blended families, investment management, and retirement planning topics for the public, closely-held corporations, industry groups and membership organizations.
Jay has coached for the Boston Area Youth Soccer league, as well as youth soccer, softball and basketball. He and his wife Barbara and their two daughters live in Hopkinton, MA.
