Are order driven markets publicly available?
In an order driven market, who has access to the bid-ask prices? Does the public have access to it?
You are asking a very good question and one which is quite applicable to a trader. Yahoo Finance used to offer public quotes of both sides of the bid ask book for many publicly traded companies. If you are an owner of a brokerage account, many on line brokers offer access to what is called level one, two, and three quotes. Often there is a monthly fee for that information. Bloomberg also compiles that information and is considered the source for bond quotes as well. I hope this helps answer your question regarding order driven markets.
