Forbes magazine’s annual list of America’s Most Expensive ZIP Codes, compiled by Altos Research, looks at median home price data for more than 29,500 ZIPs covering 95% of the U.S. population. The following data highlight the 500 priciest postal codes for 2017.

As in years prior, California fared nicely, with 10 of the top 25 most expensive ZIP Codes falling in the Golden State. In fact, Atherton, CA, claims top honors—up from third place in 2016.
