Ben has spent his career in marketing, operations and content management roles for banks, credit card issuers and credit card marketplace websites, including CreditCards.com and Bankrate.com. His area of specialization over the past 20 years has been credit cards.
Ben began his career in Dallas, Texas working for large regional banks in branding and product marketing before moving into credit card marketing with Associates First Capital, First USA, and Bank One. While at Bank One he managed co-brand relationships with Southwest Airlines and Readers Digest, experiences which provided deep insight into credit card product and rewards program dynamics.
In 2005 Ben was hired by the founder of CreditCards.com as the third employee and developed the site's original content before becoming the director of marketing and consumer research and running the company's public relations and earned media activities.
Ben subsequently served as the general manager of CreditCardForum.com and the director of marketing for a midwestern credit card marketplace website before joining Investopedia in 2019.
Master of Business Administration from the Sam Walton School of Business at the University in 1984 following completion of his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
