 Dennis Miller is a former marine and active member of the Mensa Society who began studying about investing in 1990. Dennis has over 40 years of background as an international lecturer, educator, and consultant. Early in his career, he worked as an adjunct professor for Northwest University and as a consultant for Fortune 500 companies, such as General Electric Co., IBM, and Mobil. As a corporate consultant, he trained executives how to articulate their firm's value to stakeholders.

Since 1990, he has been a devoted student of investing–gathering valuable information from various sources and investment advice from industry experts. Dennis has written several books, articles, and newsletters. His focus includes investments, retirement planning, and sales management. After retiring in 2008, Dennis wrote the book Retirement Reboot, which discusses the importance of retirement planning, investing, and spending in a post-recession economy. Dennis is a regular contributor to MarketWatch, Forbes, Casey Research, Aging Options, and many other websites. He is the creator of the blog Miller, On the Money which has a primary focus on retirement planning.
