Christina Lavingia's experience in financial writing comes from her freelance work for Investopedia and her two years at GoBankingRates, where she was a content coordinator and editor. Her specialties include personal finance, banking, traveling on a budget, how to save money, and financial tips for millennials. Previously, she interned on the production team of NBC's Meet the Press and held editorial internships with Santa Barbara Magazine, The Santa Barbara Independent, and The Valley Sentinel.

Christina is currently a content marketing manager for PayJunction, overseeing all public-facing written communications. She spent a year as editorial and senior content lead at Graphiq, a semantic technology company acquired by Amazon in 2017.


Christina earned her bachelor's degree in political science from UC Santa Barbara. She is also currently enrolled in UCLA's full-stack web development certification program.
