Experience

Brianna McGurran has accomplished a great deal since graduating from New York University. She served as a paralegal at the U.S. Department of Justice, created curricula for underserved students in New York City preparing to take the SAT, and spent some time in pubic broadcasting and radio. Today she is a lead writer at NerdWallet, focusing on money management, debt payment strategies, and finding the right career for 20-somethings.

Brianna also writes a column syndicated by the Associated Press called “Ask Brianna,” which offers personal finance advice geared towards millennials. Her column appears regularly in the New York Times and The Washington Post, and she has been a guest on “ABC World News Tonight” and Nasdaq.

Education

Brianna received her bachelor’s degree from New York University and an MA in journalism, business and economics reporting, from CUNY Graduate School of Journalism.
