For over 16 years, F. Richard Mora has worked as a freelance financial markets writer and analyst, writing articles for financial websites and developing, testing, and executing proprietary trading systems. He has contributed content to Global Coin Report, Accern, et al. Prior to entering into the financial and trading industries, Richard served in the United States Marine Corps as a Corporal E-4. Over the years, he has worked as a proprietary stock market trader, software developer, and financial analyst for several firms. His experience and knowledge in investments and trading contributes to his freelance writing career.

Richard’s professional trading experience with investment/trading firms includes market-making, proprietary trading, system trading, and private equity placement. He has extensive knowledge in all facets of trading and investing in financial markets, and an in-depth understanding of technical and fundamental analysis of markets. He has been involved in every aspect of developing and executing trading systems including concept development, modeling, programming, statistical testing, implementation, and maintenance. Currently, Richard is an independent proprietary trader.


Richard earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Sourthern California with a double major in economics and international relations. He is also FINRA Series 7, 63, and 55 licensed.
