Kristin Burgess is an attorney and writer who works as the operations manager with the Working Families Party, where her multi-faceted job includes overseeing Party campaign finance, lobbying and election law compliance, event planning, office management, and assisting with finance, fundraising, and HR. In her legal practice she has worked in corporate and public finance, with a special focus on municipal finance and government debt.

Kristin has worked as a blogger, financial journalist, and policy and procedure writer, including blogging about politics, economic developments, finance, and the law. She has written for the Connecticut Law Tribune, the Fairfield County Business Journal, Northend Agents Newspaper, District Media, and The Urban Entrepreneur, among others.


Kristin received her law degree from Yale and studied economics and political science as a Macaulay Honors Scholar at Lehman College.
