For the first half of his career, John Kosar worked on the trading floor of the Chicago futures exchanges, where he got an inside look at how the U.S. financial markets work. Since 2005, John's firm, Asbury Research, has been providing comprehensive investment research and specific investment ideas to professional investors and sophisticated individual investors.
John is frequently quoted in the financial press including The Wall Street Journal, and Barron’s, and his work has been published on Investopedia, Forbes, and CNBC. John's writing contains a unique set of technical and quantitative metrics designed to identify low-risk investment opportunities. His focus includes a blend of macro analysis of the U.S. economy along with an analysis of market sectors, individual assets, treasuries, foreign exchange, and commodities. He is a member of the American Association of Individual Investors (AAII), the National Association of Active Investment Managers (NAAIM), and the CMT Association (formerly Market Technicians Association).
