Geoff Considine has been developing quantitative models for investment selection and management for more than 20 years. After leaving his role as a research scientist for NASA, Geoff worked on an energy trading floor, developing models for valuing complex derivatives. He left the trading floor to work as a consultant and lead research developing analytics for energy trading desks. In 2002, he started his consulting business, Quantext, and shifted his focus to portfolios of equity securities and fixed income. For thirteen years, he lead research for brokerage firm Folio Investing (as a consultant), until the firm was acquired by Goldman Sachs in 2020. Geoff has written extensively for advisors and individual investors.
Geoff holds a doctorate in Atmospheric Science from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a bachelor's degree in Physics from Georgia Tech.
