  • Bitcoin (BTC)

  • Ethereum
  • Shiba Inu
  • Solana

Security

Despite only being in the market for a little over five years, Guarda Wallet has emerged as one of the most secure cryptocurrency software wallets available. To date, there have been no reports of security breaches at Guarda Wallet.

Furthermore, Guarda Wallet is a non-custodial wallet, which means only the user has access to the wallet’s private keys, providing exclusive asset ownership to the funds stored in the wallet. That means that even if the company behind Guarda Wallet should become insolvent or should its servers become compromised by hackers, user funds would remain unaffected.

Privacy and Anonymity

Guarda Wallet provides a high level of privacy and anonymity because users aren’t required to provide personal information or complete an identity verification check to open a wallet.

As is customary for non-custodial wallets, all a new user needs to do when setting up a wallet is to ensure they back up the wallet. However, that doesn’t require you to share any personal information with Guarda Wallet.

Setup

Setting up a Guarda Wallet differs slightly from platform to platform, but generally follows these same principles:

  • Download the wallet software
  • Back up your wallet using the wallet-generated seed phrase
  • Secure the wallet with a password

Web

Guarda makes setting up a simple web wallet incredibly easy. Start by accessing www.guarda.com, then click on “Create Wallet,” followed by “Create a new wallet.” Next, type in a password to create your web wallet.

Once wallets have been created for all of Guarda’s supported blockchains, you are asked to download your wallet backup. Finally, you need to download your wallet backup and store the file securely. For optimal security, this backup information should be stored offline.

Desktop

Setting up a Guarda desktop wallet involves accessing the Guarda site and clicking on “Desktop Wallet” under “Products.” There you can choose to download the desktop wallet software for Mac, Windows, or Linux.

Download the wallet software and open the file to install the application. Once you have installed Guarda Wallet, open the application and click “Create a new wallet.” Next, you will need to set a password to secure your wallet. Click “I’ve written it down” after you have written down and stored your wallet password somewhere safe.

Next, Guarda Wallet will create wallets for all the blockchains it supports. Finally, the application will ask you to download the wallet backup file. Make sure you store your wallet backup file securely, as you will need it to restore your wallet should you lose or damage your device.

Mobile

To set up a Guarda mobile wallet, go to the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play store (Android) and search for Guarda Wallet. Then, download the application to your device and click on the app icon once the app has been downloaded.

To set up a wallet, you will have to follow the same steps as for the web and desktop versions of the app. Again, make sure you write down your wallet password somewhere safe and securely store the wallet backup file. The mobile app also allows you to set up fingerprint or Face ID authentication for increased security.

If you would like to use your Guarda Wallet on mobile and on desktop, you can sync your wallets across these platforms. That way you can seamlessly access your crypto assets on your smartphone and your computer at any time.

Usability

Desktop

Cryptocurrency users who want to manage their crypto assets on their computers can make use of Guarda Wallet’s desktop-based applications, which include a web interface, a desktop software application, and a Chrome extension.

All three wallets available on desktop are easy to set up and very user-friendly. The clean and aesthetically pleasing user interface makes it very clear where you need to click to take whatever action you want to take.

1

Mobile

Users who prefer to manage their digital assets on their smartphones can download Guarda Wallet for Android or iOS. Like the desktop version, the Guarda Wallet mobile application only takes a few minutes to set up and is very user-friendly. Furthermore, it provides the same features and functionalities as its desktop-based equivalents.

Individuals who regularly use cryptocurrency to make payments or send money to friends will probably prefer the mobile version, whereas active traders and investors are more likely to choose one of Guarda Wallet’s desktop-based applications.

Customer Service

Unlike many other cryptocurrency wallets, Guarda Wallet provides high-quality customer support. Users can access Guarda Wallet’s highly responsive customer service using email, support tickets, and live chat.

Cost and Fees

Guarda Wallet offers fee customization for sending crypto transactions. Blockchain transaction fees vary depending on the network and user activity.

For example, if you would like to transfer Bitcoin, you can click on “Advanced Options” to choose how many satoshis per byte you would like to pay in network fees. The more you pay in transaction fees, the faster your transaction is typically confirmed by the network.

Moreover, if you want to make a transaction on Ethereum or another smart contract-enabled blockchain, you can choose how much in gas fees you would like to pay.

For in-app cryptocurrency purchases using a debit or credit card, Guarda charges a relatively high service fee of around 5%.

Final Verdict

Guarda Wallet is a market-leading crypto wallet that enables users to seamlessly store, buy, earn, swap, and spend a wide range of crypto assets in one place.

The highly secure multi-asset crypto wallet is popular both with beginners and experienced users, offering a user-friendly interface, an array of features, and an emphasis on customer satisfaction. In fact, Guarda Wallet has some of the best customer service we have experienced in the crypto asset industry.

While the in-app cryptocurrency purchase fees are relatively high, you could argue that the fees may be justified given Guarda Wallet’s best-in-class security, excellent customer support, and multi-platform application that makes managing your crypto portfolio simple, easy, and secure.
