HomeServe offers multiple home warranty options that offer varying degrees of coverage. This includes system-specific core plans and combo plans. For example, HomeServe core plans can cover repairs up to the coverage limit for issues involving your home's plumbing and drainage systems. This includes simple repairs, such as clogged toilets, and more advanced repairs involving septic lines or burst pipes. The TotalHome Warranty Combo Plan will cover eight appliances and 10 home systems. There's also a Complete Plumbing Repair Plan, which covers five home systems, including interior plumbing and drainage, HVAC systems and gas lines. Payout Caps and Limitations
Home warranty plans typically have caps and limitations on what they'll cover. HomeServe benefits vary by plan. In many plans, there is an annual plan limit of $10,000 and a limit of $2,500 annually for each system. However, check your plan details to confirm, because this company offers a massive variety of different plants.
HomeServe’s emergency repair hotline is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays. You don't have the option to choose your own repair person or contractor once you file a claim with HomeServe. Instead, you'll be connected with one of the company's more than 600 partner service providers.
We were unable to determine the average length of time to resolve a claim. It's also worth noting that a 30-day waiting period applies before new claims can be filed. That means if you purchase a one-year contract with HomeServe, claims are only accepted during the 11-month period following the 30-day waiting period.
