Katie is a freelance writer, educator and coach with more than 12 years of experience researching and writing about business, insurance, and personal finance. Her experience includes auditing for a large national bank, teaching high school business education classes, working as a financial advisor and coach, and writing for various financial publications and blogs. 

Katie has also been licensed in auto, home, life, and disability insurance and has written about these types of insurance for publications such as Business Insider, Insurance Dodo, and InvestingAnswers. 

Katie is passionate about sharing her love of financial knowledge and pursuit of financial freedom with others. When she isn’t working, or running her podcast called Financially Free Females, she can be found spending time with her two girls, enjoying the great outdoors, or making plans for her family’s next adventure.

Katie has her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire. She also has obtained Master’s level 5-12 Business Education teaching license, and she obtained FINRA Series 7 and 66 as well as life, disability and auto insurance licenses.
