In 2017, while working in admission, Melissa pursued a freelance writing and editing career. She currently works as a freelance writer and full-time financial editor covering higher education, investing, personal finance, mortgages, college savings, insurance and more. Melissa also writes SEO-driven blog-style copy for independent educational (college) consultants.
Melissa graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of arts in communication studies with minors in psychology and Spanish from Central College. She's a longtime member of the National Association of College Admission Counseling (NACAC).
