She also spent time working for The Western Front, a fast-paced newspaper where she produced consistent articles geared toward serving the local community.

In addition to writing, she also ran a team of reporters and edited their stories for the weekly newspaper. After spending time writing news, Melody turned to features and expanded her narrative writing abilities by producing compelling stories for Klipsun Magazine. She then utilized her experience writing and editing in various forms, as well as her experience analyzing complex data, to find a job at Investopedia.

Melody Kazel received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Western Washington University in 2021.
