Where to Find the Best Black Friday Deals

Black Friday sales ads have been rolling out early this year, with retailers such as Wal-Mart and Target doing their best to compete with Amazon. Whether you’ve got a big budget or a small one, here are some of the deals for to check out.

Wal-Mart (WMT) is a Black Friday shopping staple, and this year’s Black Friday ad features some hard-to-beat deals. Among the highlights are the Roku 4K Streaming Stick, which will go for just $48 starting Thursday, and the Samsung Galaxy S7, which is priced at $299 for Straight Talk customers. Wal-Mart’s Black Friday sale also features a ton of deals on kids’ toys and clothes. You may also want to check it out if you’re shopping for new tires for the winter.

The Xbox One S is sure to be on the wish list of gamers of all ages this year, and Target (TGT) is advertising an amazing deal. It’s priced at $189.99 for Black Friday, a $90 savings off the regular price. To add to the savings, shoppers get a $25 Target gift card with their purchase of the Xbox One, which is effectively like paying $165 for the unit. Target also has the Google Home Mini on sale for $29, plus you get a $10 Target gift card with your purchase, making it a Black Friday steal. Amazon (AMZN) sponsors a week of Black Friday deals, with new sales offered daily, but there are a few promotions shoppers will want to prioritize. At the top of the list is the Echo Dot, which is being advertised for $29.99, the lowest price at which it’s ever been listed. Amazon is also set to have premium brand 40-inch smart TVs on sale for $279.99 and savings of up to $100 on selected PlayStation virtual reality gaming bundles.

Best Buy

Best Buy (BBY) has struggled to remain competitive with Amazon, but it’s coming out swinging on Black Friday. Sharp 50-inch 4K Ultra HD Smart TVs will be just $179.99 in stores, and the Apple iPad Mini 128GB will be priced at $274.99, $125 off the regular price. Best Buy is also running the Xbox One S at $189.99, but there’s no gift-card promotion thrown in.

Shoppers who are looking for deals on apparel and housewares may want to check out Macy’s (M) on Black Friday. Some of the door-buster deals advertised online include steep discounts on appliances, cookware, bedding and linens. The Apple watch Series 1 is also going for $70 off the regular sales price of between $249 and $279, so you can pick up one for the techie on your list.

As part of its Black Friday promotion, Kohl’s (KSS) is offering $15 in Kohl’s cash for every $50 spent. The Xbox One S is included in this, so you can get $45 in Kohl’s cash when you buy it for $189.99, which gives Target’s $25 gift card a run for its money. If getting in shape is one of your New Year’s resolutions, check out the deals on Fitbit Charge 2 wristbands, which are going for $99.99. Kohl’s will also be running specials on everything from vacuum cleaners to jewelry to drones over the Thanksgiving weekend.

Home Depot

Home Depot (HD) is the ultimate shopping destination for deals on refrigerators, stoves, washers and dryers this Black Friday. Shoppers can save 40% on selected brands, and you can get additional savings of $50 to $500 when you buy two or more major appliances. Power tools and holiday lighting and decor are also included in the Black Friday specials.

The Bottom Line

The best way to get ready for Black Friday is to begin planning early and check out deals in advance. Compare your shopping list with your budget, so you don’t accidentally overspend. And remember that the deals and savings don’t end on Black Friday. You’ll also want to check out what retailers have to offer on Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday.
