All About Real Estate Agents and What They Do

Available Courses

Superior School of Real Estate offers pre-licensing real estate agent courses, broker courses, exam prep, and continuing education classes. All of the courses are offered in North Carolina either online or in a classroom at one of their campuses. The main campus is in Charlotte and there are additional campuses in larger North Carolina cities such as Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Raleigh, and Durham. Additionally, the school offers mortgage broker classes including licensing classes, exam prep, and mortgage continuing education classes.

In most states, a real estate salesperson is referred to as an agent, but in North Carolina, they’re referred to as a broker. This is not to be confused with the broker-in-charge, who is running the office and whose license is required to operate the real estate brokerage. Salesperson and broker course packages are both $529.

Post-Licensing Classes

In North Carolina, post-licensing courses are required. These are one-time courses that are state-mandated. They’re different from continuing education and are to be completed prior to renewing your license for the first time. Post-licensing course packages satisfy the North Carolina requirements and are $269 for 30 hours. It is different from continuing education and only required for new licensees renewing their licenses for the first time.

However, you do need to contact the school for full disclosure on how this policy works.

There are three courses to choose from ranging from $59 to $99. You can choose the state course, the national course, or the course that combines the state and national courses. All exam prep classes are offered online.

Our Methodology: How We Review Real Estate Schools

Our methodology takes on a quantitative approach. When reviewing real estate schools, we thoroughly analyze different aspects of each provider including their overall reputation, the types of courses offered, states courses are offered in, the cost of each course, and the cost of course packages, if offered. We also compare instructor qualifications, class formats, course and individual packaging options, former student reviews, and third-party ratings. In addition, we consider whether or not the school is accredited, what additional features it has, and how easy its site is to navigate.
