Biography

Lazetta Braxton, co-founder and co-CEO of 2050 Wealth Partners, is on a mission to provide access to financial planning for “the rest of us.” Lazetta has been awarded a top-10 spot on the Investopedia 100 list since 2019.

Lazetta focuses on creating a safe place for clients to realize their goals and dreams through the wise use of financial resources in a no-shame zone. At her previous firm, Financial Fountains, Lazetta worked with thriving professionals and sandwich generation wealth-protectors to build their financial foundations and to support generational wealth.

In 2020, Lazetta joined forces with Rianka R. Dorsainvil, CFP and founder of Your Greatest Contribution, to merge their firms and launch 2050 Wealth Partners. Through this platform, Lazetta is spreading the message that financial planning is truly for everyone. In addition, Lazetta runs a consulting practice, Lazetta & Associates, where she helps financial services firms nurture culturally aware workplace environments that allocate equity amongst their employees.

Lazetta, a nationally recognized financial expert, has appeared on NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt, Nightly Business Report, and CNBC’s Closing Bell. She is a member of the CNBC Digital Financial Advisor Council and a contributor on Wealth Management to the WSJ Experts blog.

Recognized for her leadership, entrepreneurial spirit, and dedication to the financial planning profession, Lazetta was named one of Investment News’ inaugural Women to Watch and Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion recipients. She also received the Association of African American Financial Advisors’ Leadership Legacy Award and the Heart of Financial Planning award from the Financial Planning Association.
