Biography

Since launching Define Financial—a team of award-winning CFP professionals who work with clients on the same side of the table—in 2014, Taylor Schulte has been recognized as a multi-year, award-winning wealth manager. He’s been a top 10 financial advisor on the the Investopedia 100 list since 2020.

Taylor Schulte is a native San Diegan who worked for large wealth managers throughout most of his early career. Today, in addition to his work at Define Financial helping clients reduce taxes, invest smarter, and retire on their own terms, Taylor is involved in many organizations that value financial literacy. Specifically, he is the co-founder of AGC—a community for financial advisors to grow personally and professionally alongside their peers—and also volunteers for the San Diego Financial Literacy Center offering pro bono financial planning advice.

Taylor is a columnist for Kiplinger and is frequently quoted in the media as a financial expert. He’s a proud graduate of the Eller College of Business at the University of Arizona and the Executive Financial Planner program at San Diego State University.

Taylor also holds the CFP designation and is a member of the following professional organizations: CFP Board, Financial Planning Association(FPA), Retirement Podcast Network, National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), Fee-Only Network, and the San Diego Financial Advisors Network.
