Ted Jenkin

Biography

Since he was a child, Ted Jenkin has loved money and being an entrepreneur. At the age of 12, he created the first pet walking service in his neighborhood, and then quickly got into working multiple jobs to make money.

After the death of his father, their family learned he had nearly $100,000 of credit card debt, no 401(k), an insurance policy for only $25,000, and had left two mortgages on their house. In the wake of this, Ted helped his mother set a financial plan, budgeting for her to continue working toward a 30-year pension, and create the best situation given the very unfortunate circumstances.

Ted now carries advanced designations from the College For Financial Planning including the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification and was the youngest Field Vice President in the history of American Express Financial Advisors.

He has counseled more than 20,000 families in his career and has been quoted in more than 150 magazines and newspapers, including the Wall Street Journal's "The Wealth Management Experts" and CNN Headline News as their Money Expert.

Notably, The Weather Channel has featured Ted to provide financial advice for emergency situations.
